theta= pi/4 since sqrt(2)cos(pi/4)=1 and sqrt(2)sin(pi/4)=1

2cos(pi/3)+i2sin(pi/3)=x+iy
x=1
y= sqrt(3)

Solve for $r,\theta$

$1+i=r \cos\theta+r\sin\theta$

$r=\sqrt{1^2 + 1^2} = \sqrt 2$

$\theta= \pi/4 $ since $\sqrt 2 \cos \pi/4=1$

 and $\sqrt 2\sin \pi/4 =1$


For x+iy,
2cos(pi/3)+i2sin(pi/3)=x+iy
x=1
y= sqrt(3)
