Michael Pelsmajer's 4DMaze newt.exe is 
a real-time interactive computer
animation (RTICA), and follows the illiMath 
Here is a brief review:

On the heads-up display you see
(N)ose 0.060
which means that the current value of the 
nose parameter (semi ocular displacement for
the stereo pair option...) . By pressing the
N-key, or the shift-N key, you can change
this number. But do this while looking at a 
crossed eye stereopair, toggled on the (V)iew
key. Make N negative, and you have parallel
stereopairs. 

Next, (ESC)ape to kill the RTICA, 
(Z)ap to the default values of the paramaters, 
(V)Binoc toggles monocular and binocular views,
the f(O)cal factor changes perspective,
but so does my apparent s(I)ze, and the 
far cli(P)ping plane round out the optical suite.

(D)elta influences the gaps between the panels,
The (h)omotopy demo shows some possibilities, and
(f)reezing the motion allows mouse to move far away.

Navigation is discrete, one unit at a time. 
Forward/backward in the direction of view is on 
the middle/shift-middle mouse button.
Hither and yonder 
in the 4th direction is on the s/S key. 
Mouse right/left, fore/aft turns in the current 3D slice.
Arrow right/left, up/down turns into the fourth direction.
