Question 1: 

I am confused by your e-mail and the website what is expected 
to be done for homework by tomorrow (W2).  

Answer 1: 

For W2 I expect the practice homework begun on M2 and, I hope you 
will finish soon. If you have trouble finishing it (as specified) then
get some help. The reason two complete solutions are provided as guides
for the format of your submission is to help you learn this technology.

Question 2:

Are we turning it in via TeXwins?   

Answer 2: 

Sadly, texWins is not (yet) capable of accepting your homework directly.
We're working on that, but in the meantime we have to use an old and
less convenient class management system, called Classcomm.

Question 3:

Should we be making pictures to because we had some problems attaching 
pictures in class.  

Answer 3:

Thanks for mentioning that the lab didn't get to  attaching figures 
to texWins. I would have no other way of knowing than your asking me. 

Unless the present 8 min video explains how to upload a figure in 
texWins, there should be a second video to cover the texWins issues.
Unfortunately, the software (Elluminate) that half-made this video 
was unable to finish the job and I'll have to take class time to 
demonstrate.

Question 4:

If we are having problems would you mind if we just 
printed it out and handed it in to you tomorrow?

Answer 4: No I don't mind. But the question is what "it" refers to.

The practice problem 7a has a little time to finish nicely. It is,
afterall a practice problem.

But, for F2 I posted that I want to get the three problems specified to 
the grader over the long weekend. (There will be another assignment
due on W3).

The F2 assignment is 

   a. Perfect if it consists of a .pdf with some figures as needed
      made with texWins. 

      This document should be on Classcomm AND handed in as a printout.
      (Once Classcomm works for you, we may dispense with the paper.)

   b. Less than perfect but OK for now, if it consists of three 
      separate .png made according to the A2a example. (I will answer
      questions concerning texPad and Paint/iPaint in class on Wednesday.)

      This document should be on Classcomm AND handed in as a printout.
      (For the same reason.)

   c. OK for now, if it is done by hand on paper and handed in on F2 in 
      time to give the grader to grade.

Comment:

   Why the variety? Because people have differing levels of difficulty 
   doing these things. Since the content of homework F2 but the form
   of homework W2 matters, you do the best you can towards the optimal
   solution. You need to budget your own time and do what you can in 
   the time you have budgeted for it. The resources put into the homework:
   online management, feedback from grader etc, is for you to learn with.
   Avail yourself of this opportunity, and get your tuition's worth. Don't
   do the homework and you may have trouble doing the tests.
