Ben Schaeffer and Camille Goudeseune showed one of the newest additions to the Beckman Institute, a six-sided Virtual Reality CUBE, to the illiMath group. Nicknamed ALICE, for Adaptive Laboratory for Immersive Collaborative Experiments, it allows the visitors to be fully immersed in a virtual environment. Im2001 broke off into groups of five minus shoes to enter the environment and interact with the navigation system of ALICE.
