A Geometrical Puppetshow: Real-time Interactive Computer Animation
George Francis, U. Illinois
Watching a toy gravitational lens distort our world is just one of many
ways of using computer graphics to simulate impossible phenomena, and
so convey mathematical ideas rather than create photo-realistic images
of real events. This demonstration includes videos, computer demonstrations,
and even some words on meta-realistic rendering of 4-dimensional and
non-Euclidean geometry.
