This website is the result of a
websearch conducted by Math 306 students at the University of
Illinois.
The focus of this website is the study of
Archimedes life, the contributions he made to the math field, and how his
discoveries can enrich the learning experience for all levels of
students.
There are two main areas of focus on this website.
They are meant to be completed on successive days in the classroom.
The prerequisite for the completion of this project is one computer for at
least every two students. The first area of focus, INTERACTIVE
HISTORY, is a list of websites that contain integrated math, english,
and/or history lessons. The second area, LESSON PLANS, is a list of
lesson plans for specified ages dealing with the area of a circle.
The idea is that the second days lesson would integrate topics covered in
the first days exploration. |
