Here are four .gifs relating to the first hourly. Please read them, and also write me comments
concerning the ease, legibility, downloading time, and usefulness of such information. These 
files were created in LaTeX, converted to a postscript file,  which was converted to a .gif,
and finally transferred to here. If the result, in the end, does not warrant this much effort,
we'll have to think of a better way of posting ``lecture notes''.
