17aug12 To do as of now: 1. make sure the present text is the current one as per Stan's letter sometime in Spring 2012. 2. pyopengl/ being the collection of Stan's examples, the spreadsheet is an elaboration of Stan's ordering from the book, and my testing with python2.5+ogl. 3. Known problems and other not fully resolved issues. Stan's animations are based on but not animated in exactly the same way as the Hippocket and Illiskel rtica. 3a. Hippockets: The original rtica were 2D based on the Apple II graphics and BASIC. These are adaptations, not emulations, or ports. Thus the algorithms will be the same, but the graphic expression is often different. There is no heads-up display for keyboard controls. 3b. Illimath 3Ds: Again, absent a complete skel.py there's no consistent, or complete interaction schemes. Plenty of room for student development. 4. Similar to the classic "ovalesques" that evolved from Apery's romboy homotopy, Stan has an interesting line of lissajous (build from trigonometric parametrizations more general than the ovalesques). See the development in stanfive. 6. The SS stanlist.xls needs steady improvement before it's complete. 7. 17aug12 on westkill but not on repo yet ? stanIndex =copy of ? cg1.py part of the "chaosgame" stuff ? tester ? cg.py ? pyth ? body.py = 3body for testing ? volt.py = volterra-lotka ? mypypoints.py ? volo.py
