simJoy

an alternative input simulator for Syzygy

simJoy aims to join the Syzygy input simulator with SDL's joystick handling.

The Current State of Affairs

The current input simulator is a pain to use. There are far too many modes, each performing a specific, but limited, function. A huge improvement could arise from developing an input simulator that many (computer) video games use for movement: The mouse provides rotational input, and the W, A, S, and D keys provide translational input. This list of modes, using this methodology, could be simplified to just two or three. However, as this only slightly concerns my project, I will not be discussing it much further, if at all.
