ZATP: Imagining Micro Molecules in the Macro World

My name is David Bergman. I am an undergraduate computer engineering major at University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). I am part of the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at the UIUC for the summer season in 2006. The program's title is "Geometric Visualizations".

The Project

The ZATP project focused on extending a previously written program, ATPSynthase, into a program displayable in the CUBE. Major updates included adding a gesture tracking system, wand functionality, extra molecules based on the VMD format, and coordinating the tasks of the master and slave computers.

Other Information

My associated mentor is Paul McCreary at The Evergreen State College. This project is an extension of on-going projects by Professor George Francis at UIUC.
